After a 3 year stint in Textile Sciences at the University of Alberta, Joanna Wala enrolled in the selective entry Fashion Design & Technology program at the Kwantien University College in Vancouver graduating in 98 with an award.

Several years experiencing in designing and working in the areas of production for medium and large apparel companies had prepared her for the launch of her label, Sofiss.

Sofiss is fresh and feminine. Sofiss is gently provoking, but never vulgar. The line celebrates individuality and luxurious fabric. Sofiss isthe independent women who isn’t interested in throw away fashion.
